About the CreatorMaximize/Minimize

Guitarist/producer K. Burnshee and singer/trumpet player Matt Thornside met in high school, back in the early 80's and have been playing together ever since. The groups and the settings have varied, from troubadours playing in the street for burgers, to funk bands playing in clubs, and jazz bands at weddings.

For years based in Stockholm, Sweden, the duo has made friends with some of Stockholm's finest musicians. They are pleased that some of them appear on the group's recordings.

The song writing of Burnshee and Thornside is inspired by such diverse artists as Steely Dan, Prince and Jimi Hendrix, and a bit of jazz, and a bit of Zappa. Soul, funk, a bit of jazz, a bit of slick, a bit of rock and blues. Some think it's quite schizophrenic... Maybe it is. But that's the way they like it.

"The Art of Not Blending In", recorded during 2003, contains 14 original songs by Burnshee and Thornside. Pop, rock, funk and blues are featured -- all with a touch of jazz.

The listener will also find a lot of humour and always, professional musicianship.

Guest performing is Lilling Palmeklint, doing back up vocals with Roxette.
